Hydrogen Safe provides specialist training and registered qualifications in hydrogen safety. Whether you are planning a career in the green energy sector or want to future-proof your workforce, our qualifications will provide the confidence needed to work safely with hydrogen.
We are fully committed to future-proofing the workforce of Wales with skills in hydrogen safety. Over recent months, South Wales, with its established industrial base and ambitious decarbonisation goals, has emerged as a key region in the UK’s green revolution, with hydrogen front and centre on its roadmap to Net Zero.
Hydrogen Safe has secured funding from the Swansea Bay City Deal Skills and Talent Programme, to help provide a pathway into high-quality, hydrogen jobs for local young people. To deliver this, we are enhancing our current training courses by developing and implementing exclusive digital assets, working with industry leaders to develop a Level 2 course, as well as delivering training to 100 people to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to work safely and confidently with hydrogen.
To support our efforts in Wales, Hydrogen Safe has appointed Wyn Prichard as a specialist consultant. Wyn has been involved in business and skills development for more than 30 years, and recently held a position at NPTC Group of Colleges as Director of Skills Strategy and Business Engagement.
Having focused on net zero, renewable and sustainability, setting up the first cross-industry net zero academy working with trade bodies, industry, students and education, Wyn is perfectly placed to facilitate the introductions and advise Hydrogen Safe as we progress with our partnerships and projects in Wales.
